The Skirball and the American Film Institute present a monthly series of conversations exploring the influences and inspiration of film’s greatest producers, directors, writers, actors, and other moving picture artists. Acclaimed guests screen work they credit with inspiring their art and discuss the great films and film artists who have influenced their careers.

This memorable, if controversial, work tells the story of Joe Buck (Jon Voight), a naïve hustler trying to make his fortune in New York, and the friendship he strikes with a homeless con man, Rico “Ratso” Rizzo (Dustin Hoffman). (1969, 113 min.)
Andy Garcia is recognized as one of today’s most talented and versatile actors. Most recently he starred in the biopic Modigiliani, in which he played the passionate artist Amedeo Modigliani. Garcia has also recently completed post-production on The Lost City, a project he has nurtured for sixteen years and which will mark his feature directorial debut. Garcia stars in the film, along with Dustin Hoffman, Bill Murray, Tomas Milian, and Ines Sastre, and also wrote, composed, and produced all of its music.

Définir cet homme serait : intelligent, d'une beauté intérieure et
extérieure fascinante, intègre, richesse d'âme, sensualité à me rendre folle de lui, d'une douceur et d'un respect envers la femme et sa famille. Pouvoir le rencontrer, le regarder dans les yeux et toucher ses mains, ce serait un rêve pour moi, j'en deviendrais dingue mais on a le droit de rêver...

P.S. : J'ai oublié d'écrire que mon fils de 23 ans lui ressemble beaucoup, pas seulement en tant que classe et personnalité mais il a une petite pointe de cheveux en haut de son front comme Andy et il pourrait être son sosie, la ressemblance est vraiment identique.
